Hajj Packages from the USA 2027Real prices, broken down line by line

Most Hajj pages tell you a starting price and stop. This one shows you what that number is made of — the room, the Mina camp, the flight — so you can tell the difference between a package that is cheaper and a package that has simply left things out.

If you are trying to work out what Hajj actually costs from the United States, the honest answer is that the advertised number is the least useful part of any quote. Two packages advertised $2,000 apart can be the same package in a different room, and two packages advertised at the same price can be four kilometres apart in Mina.

So this page does something the rest do not: it takes Hisar Tour’s published 2027 pricing apart and shows you the components Nusuk actually charges for — the room, the Mina camp, the flight — using the real figures from our own package pages. Then it tells you which tier suits which kind of pilgrim, and what you should budget on top.

Booking and payment happen on the Saudi government’s Nusuk Hajj platform. Hisar Tour, the travel arm of the United American Muslim Association, provides the group flights, the imams and murshids who travel with you, the pre-departure seminars, ground services and support. We do not take payment for the Hajj package, and neither does anyone else who is being straight with you.

Starting prices are Hisar Tour’s published 2027 planning figures, based on real 2026 room rates. Hotels may be substituted with comparable properties. The binding price is the one shown inside Nusuk when sales open, and Nusuk may publish different numbers. SAR conversions use the pegged rate of 3.75 SAR to the dollar.

How Nusuk prices a package

What you are actually paying for

A Nusuk Hajj package is not one price. It is three components added together, and every tier is just a different combination of them. Once you can see the components, comparing quotes becomes straightforward.

1 · The room

Your bed in Makkah and Madinah for the nights of the package. This is the largest single component and it varies by hotel, by how close that hotel sits to the Haram, and by how many people share the room.

Roughly 60–70% of a typical package.

2 · The Mina camp

Where you sleep during the ritual days. Two camps are used, and the difference between them is both a real cost and a real walk.

Roughly SAR 8,000–11,000 depending on which camp.

3 · The flight

Round-trip from your departure city to Jeddah or Madinah, travelling with the group and the murshid. Included in every price on this page.

Roughly SAR 10,000, about $2,670.

Why this matters when you compare quotes. An agency quoting $9,000 has almost certainly removed one of these three — usually the flight, sometimes the Mina camp upgrade. An agency quoting $16,000 has usually moved you from a quad to a double and put you in the closest hotel. Neither is dishonest. But unless you line up all three components, you are not comparing the same thing.

Room types

What a triple or double room actually costs

Every headline price on this page — and on almost every competitor’s page — is for a bed in a room of four. Here is what the step up costs, using the published figures from our own 2026 Gold package as a worked example.

Worked example using Hisar Tour’s published 2026 Gold package room rates, shown to explain how Nusuk prices occupancy. These are 2026 figures, not 2027 prices. The 2027 room rates are confirmed inside Nusuk when sales open — ask us for the current 2027 occupancy table.
OccupancyRoom cost (SAR)Approx. USDDifference vs quadWho it suits
Quad — 4 sharing27,500$7,333The base rate every advertised price uses. Fine for solo pilgrims and for groups of friends or relatives travelling together.
Triple — 3 sharing33,000$8,800+$1,467A family of three, or two who want a spare bed. The most common upgrade.
Double — 2 sharing38,000$10,133+$2,800Couples, and anyone travelling with a parent who needs privacy or help at night. The most requested room type.

The number that catches people out

A couple who assume the advertised price is per person for a double are out by roughly $5,600 across two pilgrims. That is not a hidden fee — every operator quotes quad, because every operator’s competitor does. But it is the single most common budgeting mistake we see, and it is better discovered in July than at checkout.

Roommate requests

If you book a quad and are not travelling as a group of four, you will be placed with other pilgrims. Preferences are accommodated where possible but are not guaranteed. Tell us at enquiry stage if this matters to you — for some pilgrims it is fine, for others it is worth $1,467 to avoid.

Mina

The camp decides how far you walk, and it has a price

During the three days of Tashreeq you stay in Mina and walk to the Jamarat Bridge and back each afternoon. Nusuk packages use two camps. The gap between them is the most underestimated line in the whole booking, and unlike most things in Hajj it has an exact price.

Majar Al-Kabsh — 300 to 700 metres

The closest camp to the Jamarat Bridge. Around 5,000 pilgrims and the highest service level. The daily stoning becomes a short walk.

SAR 11,000 in the 2026 season. On the 2027 tiers it appears as an upgrade of roughly +$1,240, and is built into Platinum.

Al-Muaisim — about 4 kilometres

A large, well-equipped camp taking up to 44,000 pilgrims, with everything needed for the Mina days. The standard camp on the Gold and Silver tiers.

SAR 8,000 in the 2026 season — the reason those tiers cost less.

Put plainly: about $800 to $1,240 separates a 400-metre walk from a 4-kilometre walk, twice a day, for three consecutive days, in May heat, immediately after the night at Muzdalifah. For a pilgrim in their thirties that is a fair trade for the money. For a parent in their seventies it is usually the most important line item on the whole invoice, and the one families regret saving on.

The decision

Which tier is right for you

Four questions decide it. Answer them honestly and the tier chooses itself.

  1. Who is travelling, and how mobile are they?If anyone in the group is elderly, recovering, or unsteady on their feet, the Mina camp and the Makkah hotel zone stop being luxuries. Look at Platinum, or Gold with the Majar Al-Kabsh upgrade. If everyone is fit and independent, the shifting tiers are a sensible saving rather than a compromise.
  2. Do you mind moving hotels mid-journey?Non-shifting means one hotel for the whole trip — unpack once, everyone stays in one place, higher price. Shifting means two arrangements and a move in the middle of Hajj, for roughly $1,000 less. With a large family or a frail pilgrim, the move costs more than the money saves.
  3. What room do you actually want?Decide this before you look at prices, not after. If you know you want a double, add roughly $2,800 per pilgrim to every number on this page and compare the tiers again. The ranking sometimes changes.
  4. How long can you be away?Platinum runs about 11 nights, Gold about 13, Silver about 14, the shifting tiers 14–15, plus travel days. If your leave is tight, the shortest package is Platinum — which is also the most expensive. That tension is real and worth planning around early.

Travelling alone, on a budget

Gold Shifting — $10,400. Quad room, Rotana Makkah before the Hajj days, Razana Rawda near the Jamarat. You will walk and you will move hotels once. For a fit solo pilgrim, the best value on the list.

A couple, first Hajj

Gold or Silver, double room. One hotel throughout, Zone A in Makkah, no mid-journey move. Add roughly $2,800 per person for the double. Silver’s Sheraton sits 570 m from the Haram by footbridge.

Bringing elderly parents

Platinum. Shortest trip, Hyatt Regency facing King Fahd Gate, Maden 40 m from Masjid an-Nabawi, premium Mina camp. It is the most expensive tier and for this situation it is the one that works.

The real number

Budgeting the whole journey, not just the package

The package is the large number. It is not the only number. Here is everything else, so the total does not surprise you in Makkah.

Inside the package price

  • Hajj visa and permit, issued through Nusuk
  • Round-trip group flight from your departure city
  • Hotels in Makkah and Madinah for the full package duration
  • Mina and Mashair accommodation and transport for the ritual days
  • Daily breakfast and dinner, open buffet at the hotels
  • Haramain High-Speed Railway between the two cities — about 450 km in two and a half hours
  • Qualified imam and murshid throughout, with Bluetooth headsets for the crowded rites
  • Pre-Hajj webinars and seminars before departure
  • Ziyarat programmes in Makkah and Madinah
  • Saudi government health insurance
  • SIM card, Zamzam water and dates, Qur’an and rosary set, prayer rug, umbrella, ihram and gift set
  • Wheelchair assistance on request

Budget separately

  • Qurbani — selected as an add-on at Nusuk checkout
  • Room upgrade — roughly +$1,467 for a triple, +$2,800 for a double, per pilgrim
  • Mina camp upgrade — roughly +$1,240 for Majar Al-Kabsh where it is not already included
  • Passport issue or renewal
  • Vaccinations — meningococcal ACWY has typically been required
  • Personal spending, gifts, meals outside the package
  • Excess baggage — Zamzam and gifts add up on the way home
  • Travel to your departure airport if you are not local to it

A realistic planning habit: take the tier price, add your room upgrade, then add a personal allowance on top. Families who do this in July are not the ones making difficult decisions in February.

Departures

Group flights from six North American cities

Which tiers fly from where

  • New York (JFK) — all five tiers
  • Washington (IAD) — all five tiers
  • Chicago (ORD) — Gold, Gold Shifting, Silver
  • Houston (IAH) — Gold, Gold Shifting, Silver
  • Los Angeles (LAX) — Gold, Gold Shifting, Silver
  • Toronto (YYZ) — Gold, Gold Shifting, Silver

Group flights are normally routed through a single connection to Jeddah or Madinah. Tier availability by city is confirmed at booking.

Not near a gateway?

Most pilgrims outside these six cities fly to the nearest gateway and join the group there. Two things worth knowing:

  • Arrive the night before rather than connecting the same day. Group check-in is early and a delayed domestic flight is not recoverable.
  • Do not book that connection until the package and the group flight timing are confirmed. A non-refundable ticket bought too early is the most common avoidable loss on this journey.

The process

How booking actually works, and when

Hajj from the United States is bought on one platform only. Knowing the sequence — and that it runs in two stages months apart — is most of what separates the families who get the package they wanted from the families who do not.

  1. Check every passport — do this todaySix months of validity beyond May 2027, on every traveller. In a household of four there is usually one that needs renewing, and renewals get slow once the whole community is doing it at once.
  2. Create your Nusuk account — free, no commitmentAt hajj.nusuk.sa. Note that the Nusuk app handles Umrah and Rawdah bookings and is a different system. Hajj lives only on the website. You will need a photo at exactly 200×200 pixels on a plain white background.
  3. Add your family as companions on one profileNot as separate accounts. Separate accounts cannot be merged and cannot select the same package. Every companion must clear verification before the group can see packages, so chase the slowest person.
  4. Fund the eWallet across the gapRegistration and booking have historically been about four months apart. Use that window — transfers clear on bank timescales and booking windows do not wait for them.
  5. Select and pay, inside NusukWhen packages go live, choose your tier, room type and Mina camp, and pay from the eWallet. Decide all three in advance so you are choosing rather than deliberating.

The 1447 cycle, as it ran

  • 7 October 2025 — account registration opened
  • 1 February 2026 — booking and payment opened

What that suggests for 1448

  • Late 2026 — registration expected
  • Early 2027 — booking expected

One prior cycle is a pattern, not a schedule. The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah announces the real dates through Nusuk.

On fraud. Saudi authorities have prosecuted people running fake Hajj campaigns. The package is paid inside the Nusuk eWallet and nowhere else. No legitimate organisation will ask for your Nusuk password, or take package payment by transfer, cash or card. If someone does, that is the end of the conversation — and please tell us, so we can warn the community.

Questions

Hajj 2027 costs and booking — frequently asked

How much does Hajj cost from the USA in 2027?

Hisar Tour’s published 2027 starting prices run from $10,400 to $12,300 per pilgrim for a bed in a shared quad room, with the round-trip group flight from North America already included. Triple and double rooms cost more — see the occupancy section above for what the step up actually costs. On top of the package, budget separately for Qurbani, personal spending, vaccinations and any travel to your departure airport. These are planning figures; the binding price is the one Nusuk publishes when sales open.

Why do other agencies quote $15,000 or more?

Three reasons, and only one of them is about quality. First, occupancy — many advertised prices are for a double room, ours start at quad. Second, what is bundled — some quotes exclude the flight, the Mina camp upgrade, or Qurbani. Third, hotel and camp position, which is a genuine cost difference. When you compare two Hajj quotes, line up occupancy, flight inclusion, Makkah zone and Mina camp distance before you compare the totals. Any two of those four being different makes the headline numbers meaningless.

Do I pay you, or do I pay Nusuk?

Nusuk. Since 2022 the Hajj package for US and Canadian pilgrims is bought and paid for inside the Saudi government’s Nusuk Hajj platform, from your funded eWallet. No travel agency can sell you a Hajj package outside it. What Hisar Tour provides is the group flight arrangement, the imam and murshid who travel with you, the pre-departure seminars, the ziyarat programme, the transport at the Mashair sites, and support on the ground. If anyone asks you to pay for a Hajj package by transfer, cash or card outside Nusuk — or asks for your Nusuk password — that is fraud.

What is the cheapest legitimate way to perform Hajj from the USA?

A shifting package in a quad room, with the standard Mina camp, booked early. On the 2027 tiers that is Gold Shifting at $10,400. The savings come from three real trade-offs: you share a room with three others, you change accommodation partway through, and you walk roughly 4 km to the Jamarat on each of the three days of Tashreeq rather than a few hundred metres. For a fit pilgrim travelling alone, that is a perfectly reasonable set of trade-offs. For someone bringing an elderly parent, it usually is not.

Is the flight included in these prices?

Yes. Every quoted starting price includes the round-trip group flight from your departure city, priced at roughly SAR 10,000 (about $2,670). You can instead select “own ticket” at Nusuk checkout and arrange your own flights, which removes that amount from the package but also separates you from the group and the murshid at both ends of the journey. For a first Hajj we do not recommend it.

Can I pay in instalments?

The package itself is paid from your Nusuk eWallet, and the balance has to be there before you can complete a booking. What you can do is fund the eWallet gradually across the months between registration opening and booking opening — historically a four-month window. That is the practical equivalent of a payment plan, and it is the main reason to register early rather than waiting for packages to appear.

What is not included in the package price?

Qurbani unless you add it at checkout, personal spending and gifts, meals taken outside the package, passport issue or renewal fees, vaccinations, excess baggage, room upgrades beyond quad, and your own travel to the departure airport if you are not local to it. Saudi government health insurance is included, as is daily catering at the hotels.

Which departure cities are available?

Six North American gateways for 2027: New York (JFK), Washington (IAD), Chicago (ORD), Houston (IAH), Los Angeles (LAX) and Toronto (YYZ). The Platinum and Platinum Shifting tiers run from JFK and IAD only; Gold, Gold Shifting and Silver run from all six. Group flights are normally routed through a single connection to Jeddah or Madinah.

When is Hajj 2027, and when can I book?

Hajj 2027 is 1448 AH. The ritual days are expected to fall on 14–19 May 2027, with the standing at Arafah on Saturday 15 May, subject to the moon sighting. Nusuk had not opened for 1448 at the time of writing. In the previous cycle, account registration opened on 7 October 2025 and booking and payment opened on 1 February 2026 — so expect a similar shape, registration in late 2026 and booking in early 2027. Nothing is confirmed until the Ministry announces it.

What happens if I need to cancel?

Cancellation terms are set by Nusuk and by the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, not by us, and they change depending on how close to the season you cancel and whether the Hajj permit has already been issued. There are processing fees on withdrawing funds from the eWallet. Ask us for the current published terms before you fund the wallet rather than after — and do not rely on figures quoted by third-party blogs.

Is Hisar Tour a real, accountable company?

Hisar Tour is the travel arm of the United American Muslim Association, a New Jersey-based 501(c)(3) founded in 1980, and operates from 970 Clifton Avenue, Clifton NJ. It works within the Seera Group family and shares in Seera Mawasim’s 1st Place award for Excellent Service from the Ministry of Hajj, now in the fourth year of that partnership. 381 pilgrims travelled with Hisar Tour in the 2026 season; more than 2,000 across previous years.
